Our construction accident lawyers in Roswell can help you get the compensation you need in either circumstance. However, your solution will depend on whether you are a construction site employee who experiences a work-related injury or a non-employee.

If You Get Hurt While Visiting a Construction Site
If you are injured while on or near a construction site, you may have a personal injury claim against the property owner. However, proving negligence may be tough in a potentially dangerous location such as a construction site.
Your actions in the hours and days that follow your accident can have a big impact on the success of your case. Important steps to consider include:
Get Medical Care
If emergency medical personnel were not called at the time of your injury, see a doctor immediately, even if you think you feel fine. Visiting a doctor and complying with their orders gets you the medical care you need and establishes a record of your injuries.
Consult a Personal Injury Lawyer
It’s rarely a good idea to handle a personal injury case on your own. Our construction accident attorneys in Roswell can review your case and provide essential services such as accident investigation, compensation assessment, and claim management.
We’ll also negotiate a settlement on your behalf with the goal of recovering maximum compensation. If negotiations fail, we’ll represent you in court.
Keep Detailed Records
You may wish to write a narrative of events to help your Roswell construction accident lawyer understand how the mishap happened from your perspective. It’s also smart to keep copies of receipts, invoices, and bills that show the costs you’ve incurred due to the accident.
If You Are a Worker Injured in a Construction Accident
Except in rare cases, you can’t sue your employer when you are injured on the job site. Instead, you must rely on workers’ compensation to cover your medical care and make up a portion of your lost wages.
The law requires that most employers in George cover their employees with workers’ compensation insurance. To qualify for benefits, you must experience a work-related injury or illness. To ensure you get help, it is important to follow specific steps.
Get Medical Care
Seek immediate medical treatment for your injuries and follow your doctor’s orders. To have your doctor’s visits covered by workers’ compensation, you must select from a list of approved physicians provided by your employer.
Report Your Injury
According to Georgia law, you have 30 days to report your injury to your employer. However, it’s smart to report your injury immediately, in writing, and keep copies of your report and any other documents.
Consult with a Workers’ Compensation Attorney
Working with a Roswell workers’ compensation lawyer means you have a partner who understands the law. We can reduce your chances of a delay or denial by making sure your claim is complete, includes necessary evidence, and complies with deadlines.
Common Causes of Construction Site Accidents
Injuries from construction site accidents can happen in almost any way you can imagine. Our Rosewell construction accident lawyers can investigate the cause of your accident in order to learn what happened and who is liable.
Some of the most common causes of construction site injuries include:
- Falls from heights when working on scaffolds, ladders, and roofs
- Slips, trips, and falls due to wet surfaces, loose materials, or uneven ground
- Falling objects, such as tools and construction materials
- Electrocution due to exposed wires, power lines, and other electrical hazards
- Heavy equipment accidents
- Workers caught in machinery
- Structural collapses on unstable scaffolds and incomplete structures
- Exposure to hazardous substances such as chemicals, dust, fumes, and asbestos
- Fires and explosions caused by flammable materials or sparks from tools
If you have been hurt at a construction site as an employee or visitor, it is important to contact an attorney. We can help you file a personal injury claim or a workers’ compensation claim with the Georgia State Board of Workers’ Compensation.
