Common Causes of Uber Accidents in Conyers
There are many reasons why Uber drivers get into accidents. These include:
- Distracted driving. An Uber driver is prone to check their phone frequently. Once the driver takes their eyes off the road, the risk of an accident increases.
- Intoxicated driving. Intoxicated Uber drivers present risks to their passengers, pedestrians, and themselves.
- Speeding. An Uber driver may rush to complete fares, increasing their risk of speeding accidents.
- Violation of traffic laws. A lack of understanding of traffic laws or refusal to follow them can lead an Uber driver to cause an accident.
- Inexperience. There are minimal requirements to become an Uber driver, and a driver’s lack of experience can contribute to an accident.
Some Uber accidents are preventable. After an accident, it helps to review the incident carefully. This enables anyone injured during the accident to take appropriate steps to hold anyone responsible for the incident accountable for their actions.

Ridesharing Services Are Becoming More Popular Than Ever
Uber recorded 3.1 million average trips per day in its most recent U.S. safety report. The ridesharing company noted 0.0003% of trips had a reported critical safety incident. It also stated more than 1 million drivers did not make it through its screening process in the report’s two-year time frame.
The demand for Uber and other ridesharing services is expected to increase. One report indicates the global ridesharing market is projected to expand at a compound annual growth rate of 16.6% from 2021 to 2026. In addition, this market could be worth $185.1 billion by 2026.
As more people use Uber, safety concerns will persist. Uber has taken measures to protect its drivers, passengers, and others against Uber accidents. Regardless, there is only so much Uber can do to keep people safe.
