We Understand the Complex Liability Issues of Rideshare Accidents
Rideshare accidents can be complicated because liability depends on what stage of the ride the driver was in at the time of the crash. Uber and Lyft, for example, provide different levels of insurance coverage based on the driver’s status.
Generally, here’s how it works:
- The driver is not logged into the rideshare app: The driver’s personal auto insurance applies.
- The driver is logged in and waiting for a ride request: Some rideshare companies provide limited liability coverage, but the driver’s auto insurance may also be involved.
- The driver has accepted a ride request or is transporting a passenger: The rideshare company provides up to $1 million in liability coverage for injuries and damages.
Other parties may also be responsible for a rideshare accident, including:
- The rideshare company (if their policies contributed to the crash)
- Another at-fault driver
- The vehicle manufacturer (if a defect caused the accident)
- A government entity (if poor road conditions contributed)
Our car accident lawyers in Warner Robins will determine who is liable and pursue the compensation that helps you pay your accident-related bills.
We Will Manage Your Case While You Recover from the Crash
Handling a rideshare accident claim can be complicated, but our lawyers will take care of everything for you. We are prepared to handle the complex issues in your case while you focus on healing from the crash.
Here’s how we can build your case:
Investigate the Accident Thoroughly
We must dig deep into what happened and why as we set out to prove your case. We will:
- Gather police reports, witness statements, and video footage.
- Examine rideshare app data to confirm the driver’s status at the time of the crash.
- Work with accident reconstruction experts if needed.
Identify All Liable Parties
Rideshare accidents often involve multiple responsible parties. We will make sure the right ones are held accountable and:
- Determine if the rideshare driver, another driver, the rideshare company, or a third party is at fault.
- Look for manufacturer defects or road hazards that may have contributed.
Gather Evidence for Your Case
Building a solid insurance claim or lawsuit requires proof. We collect key documents to show the extent of your losses. We will:
- Collect medical records to show the full extent of your injuries.
- Secure employment records to prove lost wages if you had to miss work.
- Use expert testimony to demonstrate the long-term effects of your injuries.
Handle All Communications With Insurance Company Representatives
Insurance adjusters try to lower the payout amount or dismiss claims altogether. We deal with them so that you don’t have to. We will:
- File all necessary insurance claims on your behalf.
- Negotiate aggressively with the insurance adjusters.
- Prevent insurers from using tricks to reduce your settlement.
Assess and calculate the full value of your case
You deserve compensation for all of your damages, not just the immediate ones. Our team will:
- Assess your accident-related costs, including your future damages.
- Ensure we include wrongful death damages if applicable.
Negotiate for a Fair Settlement
Most cases settle out of court, but we fight for the best possible outcome. We will:
- Advocate for the highest compensation possible.
- Handle multiple insurance policies if needed (rideshare company, driver, or third party).
File a Lawsuit If Necessary
If the insurance company will not settle your case fairly, we can take legal action on your behalf.
- We will prepare your case for court and file it on time and in accordance with Georgia’s statute of limitations deadline.
- Represent you in trial to fight for the full amount you deserve.
Our Warner Robins rideshare accident claim lawyers will handle everything so that you can focus on healing. Call us today for a free consultation—we’re ready to fight for you.

- Pain and suffering
- Emotional distress
- Vehicle repair or replacement costs
Wrongful Death Damages in Fatal Rideshare Accidents
If you lost a loved one in a rideshare crash, we are truly sorry for your loss. Losing a loved one can bring on unexpected expenses, and the costs of another’s negligence should not cause you more pain.
A wrongful death action can help ease any financial burden you may face because of your relative’s absence. You may be able to recover damages for:
- Final arrangement costs (e.g., funeral and burial fees)
- Loss of companionship
- Lost future income and benefits
- Medical expenses related to the fatal injury
Under Ga. Code § 9-3-33, you have two years to file a personal injury or wrongful death lawsuit. However, it’s best to start your case as soon as possible while the evidence is fresh.
What to Do After a Rideshare Accident in Warner Robins
If you’ve been in a rideshare accident, taking the right steps can help protect your health and well-being and your legal rights:
- Call 911: Report the accident and request emergency medical help if needed.
- Get prompt medical care: You should see a doctor as soon as possible to check for hidden injuries. Even if you feel fine after the crash, you should get an exam, which can help your case for damages.
- Gather information: Get the rideshare driver’s name, contact details, and insurance information. Also, note the rideshare company and take screenshots of your ride details.
- Take pictures: Document vehicle damage, injuries, road conditions, and anything else that could help prove fault.
- Talk to witnesses: If anyone saw the crash, ask for their contact information.
- Report the accident to the rideshare company: You can do this through the Uber or Lyft app. Be careful of what you share about the crash; stick to the facts. We can talk to the company for you to ensure you don’t say anything that could hurt your case.
- Get help from an attorney: Our legal professionals in Warner Robins will guide you on the next steps and explain how we can lead your case.
