Big Rig Accidents Can Potentially Cost You Thousands of Dollars
Consider how large and heavy a big rig truck is. A passenger vehicle stands virtually no chance against an impact from something that large. More often than not, after a truck accident, it’s almost always the truck driver that comes out relatively unscathed.
It’s the drivers and passengers of the other vehicles involved that sustain the worst damages.
With the dangers of big rig accidents now fully apparent, it’s not any stretch of the imagination to see that your damages will cost you a small fortune. Most people in the U.S. can’t afford to cover everything without having to resort to procuring a loan or going deep into financial debt. You don’t have to do this to yourself.
File a Claim for Your Damages
With the help of our big rig accident lawyers, you can get compensated for your damages such as:
- Lost wages
- Medical expenses, hospital visits, and ER visits
- Physical therapy and rehab
- Vehicle repairs or replacement
- Prescriptions and medical equipment
When you calculate all of these damages, you will find that it can be hard or near impossible to pay for all of them. Instead of making hard decisions about what you can or can’t afford, file a claim and get a settlement that will help you cover your damages and put you on the path towards healing and recovery.
We Will Help You Pursue Compensation for Non-Economic Damages
There are various non-economic damages you can pursue compensation for:
- Wrongful death
- Disability and disfigurement
- Loss of consortium
- Loss of enjoyment of life
- Pain and suffering
- Mental anguish
You may notice the one thing in common all of these non-economic damages have. There is no fixed value. Our lawyers use various formulas and take into consideration the entire context of your accident and how your damages have impacted you.
From there, we will derive an accurate amount that we will have reflected in your final settlement total. We want you to get the compensation you deserve, and these damages are a part of that. While money can’t replace a loved one or replace the anguish you feel, we hope to bring the at-fault party to justice on your behalf and get you a settlement that can help you move on with your life.
Atlanta Roots, Nationwide Reach.
Distance is no obstacle. We work with clients across the country and make sure every one of them feels taken care of, no matter how far the call travels.
What Are the Statute of Limitations for My Claim?
You have two years to file a claim. This is outlined in the Official Code of Georgia Annotated (OCGA) § 9-3-33. We encourage you to retain a lawyer as quickly as you can after your accident.
Insurance adjusters may have already tried to contact you first to get you to settle quickly. While getting compensation fast is good, you should do it on your own terms. Insurance companies aren’t looking out for you.
They’re only protecting themselves from paying you the fair and reasonable amount of compensation you’re owed. You shouldn’t seek to file your claim recklessly. Take the time with a lawyer to build a strong case and file at the best time before your deadline is up.
Our Savannah Big Rig Accident Lawyers Can Help You Win
Never fight for your settlement alone. The companies that insure big rig truck drivers have strong legal representation and lots of resources to fight back against your claim. With a lawyer representing your best interests, you can mount a viable defense against their tactics.
Don’t settle for less. Retaining a lawyer is more of an investment than it is an expense. You could end up with significantly less amount of compensation or lose altogether without a lawyer by your side.
We never charge any upfront or hidden fees. Best of all, we work for you, not the other way around. If we can’t deliver you a settlement for your damages, you don’t have to pay us anything at all.
