A Johns Creek rideshare accident lawyer can help. By working with a lawyer, you will receive comprehensive legal support that can help guide you through all the elements of your injury claim.
Do You Need a Lyft Accident Lawyer in Johns Creek?
If you suffered injuries in a Johns Creek Lyft accident, chances are, you need a lawyer to help you fight for the compensation you deserve. All too often, insurance companies, even those that cover big names like Lyft, will not pay out the full compensation deserved by accident victims automatically. Victims may find themselves stuck, fighting for the compensation they deserve and unable to get the insurance company to pay it out.
You may, however, start by trying to handle your Lyft accident claim on your own. If you notice any of these key signs, you may want to bring in a Johns Creek Lyft accident lawyer as soon as possible.
- The insurance company provides you with a very low settlement offer: one that does not cover the medical costs you faced after your accident, much less the other losses you may have had to deal with.
- The insurance companies seem to be fighting over liability for the accident, and you have ended up caught in the middle, unable to recover a settlement until the insurance companies reach a resolution.
- You cannot get the insurance company to acknowledge the full extent of your injuries, even in cases like severe back or brain injuries.
- You cannot get the insurance company to approve payment for the treatments you needed after your Lyft accident, despite having that treatment recommended by your doctor.

How Lyft’s Insurance Coverage Can Impact Your Accident Claim
If you sustained injuries in an accident caused by a Lyft driver, you will probably find yourself pursuing compensation through Lyft’s insurance policy. To ensure that its drivers always have coverage when they have passengers or while they work for the company, including waiting for a ride, Lyft provides an insurance policy designed to cover many of the costs associated with a serious Lyft accident.
Lyft drivers may have one tier of coverage when they actively have a passenger or are on their way to pick up a passenger, and another tier of coverage when they are waiting for a passenger with the app on. However, Lyft offers coverage any time its drivers cause an accident while working, regardless of their current passenger status.
If the Lyft driver did not cause the accident, however, you may have to start by pursuing compensation through the auto insurance policy carried by the driver that actually caused the accident. A lawyer can help identify who may bear liability for your specific accident and where you need to pursue compensation.
What to Expect as Compensation After a Lyft Accident
After a Johns Creek Lyft accident, you may need to work with a lawyer to break down the actual financial losses you have sustained. A lawyer can help you get a better idea of what losses you can include as part of your claim and how you can best ensure that you have taken all relevant details into account.
Every Lyft accident claim looks a little different. Most claims, however, will include compensation for:
- Any medical costs directly associated with the accident and your injuries
- The wages you lost due to your injuries
- Lost earning potential, in the case of severe injuries that prevent you from working long-term
- Pain and suffering related to the accident
While a Johns Creek Lyft accident attorney cannot guarantee the compensation you will ultimately recover for your injuries, they can help break down the actual losses you have sustained and the long-term impact they may have on you.
