File Your Uber Accident Claim Against the Right Party
Before you file a claim for your Uber accident, you need to make sure that you’re filing against the correct party responsible. Filing against the wrong party can waste precious time and resources for your claim. Our lawyers can help you figure out who you can hold responsible. Typically there are three main parties to look at.
The Uber Driver
Uber drivers have a duty to uphold the safety of their passengers at all times. That means they need to drive responsibly and without any risks. Causing an accident due to negligence puts them liable for the damages you sustain. You can file a claim against them and their insurance company to recover compensation.
Uber
You can also file a claim against Uber itself. Uber has a responsibility to hire only quality drivers that don’t have bad driving habits or stains on their driving records. If they overlook these aspects about the driver that caused your accident, they can be held equally accountable for what happened to you.
In addition, Uber does loan out vehicles for their drivers to use. If that vehicle was in poor condition, and because of its lack of maintenance, caused your accident, that could make Uber responsible for any damages.
Another Driver
Sometimes, Uber accidents can involve another driver on the road acting negligently. Even though you’re not the driver, that doesn’t mean you can’t file a claim against another negligent driver for their actions that caused your accident. Always pursue financial compensation for your damages.

In addition to compensatory damages, you can also receive a reward for punitive damages.
