Statesboro’s population continues to increase. This increase, along with Statesboro’s college-town identity, brings more cars to its street as residents move in and college students (and others) use the convenience of Lyft to get to town’s many bars, music venues, and restaurants.
If you are in a Lyft-involved accident, as the driver or passenger in the Lyft or in a third-party vehicle, contact a Statesboro Lyft accident lawyer from John Foy & Associates as soon as possible after your accident. Putting your case in the hands of an expert lawyer brings you the best chance of a significant financial settlement.
What to Do Following a Lyft Accident In Statesboro
Following any motor vehicle accident, your first priority is to ensure, to the best of your ability, your own safety and the safety of others. Of course, if you have been seriously injured, do not move until emergency services arrive.
If possible, take pictures and video of the accident scene, your injuries, and road conditions. Collect names and contact information from witnesses. Be certain to get thorough contact information from the Lyft driver and other involved drivers, as well as insurance information.
Seek medical attention even if you think your injuries are minor. The physical effects of some injuries, including brain trauma, do not appear right away or may be hidden by shock or the rush of adrenaline. Prompt medical and legal attention is essential to your health and your case. Do not put off calling a doctor or consulting with a Statesboro Lyft accident lawyer from John Foy & Associates.
Why You Need a Lyft Accident Lawyer in Statesboro on Your Side
When you are not a lawyer, it is easy to miss opportunities to collect the financial award you deserve in an injury case. Insurance companies count on victims accepting lowball offers, often using dishonest methods or fear tactics to coerce them into accepting far less than they are entitled to.
It is also easy to misunderstand complicated laws, which could cause you to miss filing dates, file claims improperly, and fail to collect thorough evidence.
Lyft’s Strong Representation
If your accident involves a Lyft vehicle, there is a greater chance of falling for intimidating tactics as you will have to deal with more than one insurance company. Lyft drivers have their own insurance but have additional insurance from Lyft when they are on the job.
Those companies will likely point fingers at each other, neither wanting to pay out, only to leave you frustrated and without compensation.
On top of those challenges, Lyft was recently valued as a 4.7 billion-dollar company. Companies that big have powerful lawyers representing them and their interests. You need an equally powerful legal representative from the Strong Arm of Georgia to represent your interests and keep the fight fair.

Submitting Your Claim
Georgia has a two-year statute of limitations for filing car accident claims. Your attorney will complete the filing accurately and promptly.
Constructing Your Case
Your Lyft accident attorney in Statesboro will collect thorough evidence to prove you deserve a settlement, including medical bills reports, photos, video, witness testimony, and reports from caregivers, among other documentation.
Your lawyer will gather evidence to prove the at-fault party is liable for your damages. Negotiating a Settlement
Your experienced lawyer knows the value of your case and will offer sound advice upon any settlement offer. If the at-fault party refuses to pay a fair settlement or attempts to put the blame on you, your lawyer may advise you to take the case to court.
