Steps To Take After a Rental Car Accident
After a rental car crash, there are several steps you should take to protect your health and right to compensation. First, assess your injuries and determine if you need immediate medical attention. If your injuries are mild, you’ll want to call local law enforcement so they can file a police report. A Columbus personal injury lawyer can use the report to strengthen your claim.
Next, you must speak to the other driver(s) involved in the incident. Take down their name(s), contact information, and insurance details. If anyone nearby saw the accident occur, ask them for their contact information so your attorney can interview them.
Finally, use your cell phone to take pictures of vehicle damage, the accident scene, and any injuries you’ve sustained. Once you’ve completed these steps, you’ll want to hire a Columbus rental car accident attorney to help with your case.

A Columbus Rental Car Accident Attorney Can Deal With the Insurance Company
If you’ve ever been in an accident before, you probably know how difficult it can be to communicate and negotiate with insurance providers. Insurers are known for using bad-faith tactics to pay you as little as possible. Luckily, a rental car accident attorney from Columbus, GA, can handle insurance negotiations and pursue a high-value settlement.
If the individual who caused the crash was driving the rental car, your lawyer will either file a claim with the at-fault driver’s insurance provider or the auto insurance policy provided by the rental car company. Once the claim is filed, your attorney will negotiate with insurance adjusters to get a payment that covers all your losses.
