Shari Trahan, a Louisiana native graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. While in law school, she served as the Student Bar Association President and in 2014, she received her Juris Doctor from Southern University Law Center.
After graduating law school, she clerked for Chief Judge Penelope Richard of the 38th Judicial District Court. Upon completion of the clerkship, Shari began her legal career as an Assistant Public Defender for the Calcasieu Parish Public Defender’s Office. She later moved to Atlanta where she went on to serve as an Assistant District Attorney in the Fulton and Clayton County District Attorney’s Office. After serving the citizens of both Fulton and Clayton County, Shari worked as in-house counsel for a major insurance company.
In her free time, Shari enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves all things fashion and food.
