Even a small FedEx box truck can cause devastating injuries. Have you been hit by a vehicle driven by FedEx? You need a truck accident lawyer in Macon who knows how to handle these cases. John Foy & Associates, the Strong Arm, can help you get compensation.
FedEx accidents can be devastating, but with over 20 years of experience handling truck accident cases, our team has the knowledge and expertise to navigate the complexities of your claim. Our Macon FedEx truck accident lawyers have recovered more than $1 billion for our clients.
Can I Hold FedEx Liable for My Accident?
FedEx trucks are a common sight on Macon’s roads, delivering packages to businesses and homes. The pressure of their tight delivery schedules and the sheer size of these vehicles can lead to serious accidents.
FedEx accidents often occur due to driver carelessness, but can you hold the employer responsible if their driver hits you? In Georgia, employers are usually responsible for their employees’ negligence under OCGA §51-2-2.
This means that in many cases, FedEx can be held accountable for their drivers’ actions. However, some FedEx drivers work as independent contractors, which can complicate liability. It’s best to work with a Macon personal injury lawyer to sort out the legal issues.
Gathering Evidence for Your FedEx Truck Accident Claim
Building a strong case against FedEx requires comprehensive evidence. With evidence, we can determine who is at fault and how much your case is worth. If you have any evidence, bring it with you during your consultation.
Key elements we’ll help you gather include:
- Photos from the accident scene
- The driver’s contact and insurance information
- Eyewitness statements
- Security camera or dashcam footage
- Black box data from the truck
- Copies of your medical bills and other damage documentation
FedEx is a company with significant resources. They’ll have large insurance policies but also teams of lawyers ready to minimize their liability. That’s why it’s crucial to have an experienced FedEx truck accident lawyer in Macon, GA, on your side.
Compensation You May Be Entitled To
If you’ve been hit by a FedEx truck and they were liable, you may be entitled to compensation. Here are some of the damages you could receive:
- Medical expenses (current and future)
- Lost wages and loss of earning capacity
- Pain and suffering
- Vehicle repairs
- Emotional trauma
In cases of extreme negligence, you might also be eligible for punitive damages. If you’ve lost a loved one in the accident, our FedEx truck accident attorneys in Macon, GA, can see if you may have grounds for a wrongful death claim.
John Foy & Associates will work hard to help you get the full value of your claim, not what the insurers think you deserve. We know how to calculate and document all your damages, including future costs, to maximize your recovery.

Time Limits for Filing Your Claim
In Georgia, including Macon, you generally have two years from the date of the accident to file a personal injury claim. However, it’s crucial to start your claim process as soon as possible to give us the time we need to build a strong case.
Early action lets us preserve evidence before it disappears. Physical evidence from the crash could get thrown away or repaired, and memories from witnesses may fade with time. It’s best to speak with a lawyer as soon as you can after your accident to avoid losing evidence.
If you wait to start until after the two-year deadline, the court will reject your claim for being beyond the statute of limitations. This will make it extremely difficult to get compensation for your claim, so do not delay.
