Being hurt in a rideshare accident can turn your life upside down. One moment you’re on the road, and the next, you’re dealing with injuries, medical bills, and uncertainty about how to move forward.
If you were a passenger, pedestrian, or another driver involved in a crash with an Uber or Lyft vehicle, the situation can quickly become complicated.
That’s because rideshare collisions often involve several layers of liability and overlapping insurance policies. You need a rideshare accident lawyer in Duluth who understands how to untangle these complexities.
At John Foy & Associates, we’ve spent over 20 years helping injury victims stand up to powerful companies and recover the money they need to heal.
With more than $1 billion recovered, we have the experience and track record to take on tough rideshare cases. If you’re looking for a reliable Duluth personal injury lawyer, we’re here to help you take the next step.
How a Rideshare Accident Attorney in Duluth Can Help You
Rideshare accident claims often involve corporate insurers, app-based driver policies, and state-level regulations. Trying to handle your case without legal support can cost you both time and money.
Our Duluth rideshare accident law firm handles everything for you:
- Claim investigation: We gather police reports, rideshare app data, GPS logs, and witness statements.
- Medical documentation: We coordinate with your doctors to present the full picture of your injuries and future care.
- Insurance negotiations: We handle communication with Uber, Lyft, and personal insurers to protect your rights.
- Lawsuit preparation: If insurers refuse a fair settlement, we’re fully prepared to take your case to court.
When you hire us, you don’t have to guess whether your claim qualifies or whether you’re speaking to the right insurance company. We’ll guide you through every step.
What Makes Rideshare Accidents in Duluth More Complicated?
Georgia law treats rideshare accidents differently from standard collisions due to the way drivers are classified and insured.
Under Georgia Administrative Code Rule 570-38-6, rideshare companies like Uber and Lyft are required to provide at least $1 million in liability coverage when their drivers are actively transporting a passenger. However, if the driver was logged in but not yet matched with a rider, the available coverage may be much lower.
This tiered insurance structure means your recovery options depend on:
- Whether the driver was actively transporting a passenger
- If the driver was waiting for a ride request
- The driver’s personal auto insurance coverage
Our Duluth rideshare accident attorneys understand how to identify the right policies and build a strong case based on current Georgia law.
Do You Need a Rideshare Accident Law Firm in Duluth?
Even if you believe the rideshare driver was clearly at fault, don’t expect the insurance companies to act in your favor. Their goal is to minimize payouts and pressure victims into accepting low settlements quickly.
You may be entitled to recover:
- Medical expenses and rehabilitation costs
- Lost wages and reduced earning ability
- Pain and suffering
- Emotional distress or PTSD
- Future medical treatment for long-term injuries
Our Duluth rideshare accident law firm works on a contingency basis, which means you pay nothing unless we win your case. We also offer free consultations, so there’s no risk in getting the legal advice you need.

- Negotiation: We push for a full and fair settlement that reflects the true impact of the accident.
