Steps to File a Workers’ Compensation Claim if I am Injured While Working at ALDI

In Georgia, you have 30 days to notify an employer about workplace injuries and one year to submit a workers’ compensation claim. Below are the steps to complete if you’re injured while you work at ALDI and want to file a workers’ compensation claim.

1. Report Your Work Accident and Injuries to ALDI

Don’t wait to report your workplace accident and injuries to your manager. After you do, receive medical care from an authorized physician. If you don’t go to an approved physician for treatment, workers’ comp won’t cover your medical expenses as you treat your injuries.

2. Prepare Your Claim

Gather your medical bills, pay stubs, and other evidence for your claim. In addition, fill out the WC-14 Form (Notice of Claim/Request for Hearing/Request for Mediation). A workers’ comp lawyer knows what ALDI workers’ compensation claims entail. They can assist you as you get the required paperwork and evidence ready to file your claim.

3. Finalize Your Claim

Submit your workers’ compensation claim to the State Board of Workers’ Compensation. On top of that, send copies of your WC-14 to your employer and their workers’ compensation insurance provider. Your employer’s insurance claims office will let you know if your benefits request is approved and, if so, what benefits you’ll receive.

Unfortunately, there are times when ALDI workers’ comp benefits requests are rejected. If this happens, you have the right to appeal. Your workers’ comp attorney can explain the steps to appeal and dispute your denied claim in accordance with Georgia law.

What Workers’ Compensation Benefits Can I Get if I’m Injured While Working at ALDI?

The workers’ comp benefits that you will receive if you were injured during your work at ALDI depend on how badly you were injured and other factors. Benefits that you may get due to the harm that you’ve suffered can include:

• Medical care: You can get money for your medical treatments and travel to your doctors’ appointments.
• Lost wage reimbursement: You can receive compensation for your loss of income temporarily if your workplace injuries keep you out of work for months or years. Or, if you suffer a permanent disability, you could obtain benefits for your lost wages for the rest of your life.
• Rehabilitation: You can get compensated for rehabilitation services that you need to recover from your injuries so that you can return to work.

Workers’ compensation benefits make a difference for those injured while working at ALDI. Boost your chances of securing these benefits by getting a workers’ comp lawyer on your side. Your attorney can share a Georgia workers’ compensation settlement guide and other resources with you. Plus, they will address any concerns that you have about filing a workers’ comp claim.
