General Terms & Conditions
The John Foy & Associates Survivor of a Car Accident Scholarship is open to eligible undergraduate or postgraduate students at any accredited college or university within the United States. Likewise, it is open to incoming students who have been accepted by such an institution, provided that they are enrolled or scheduled to enroll in classes within six months of the application deadline.
At our discretion, John Foy & Associates may require an applicant to provide proof of any claims made in the essay, application form or other application materials. If the applicant is unable or unwilling to provide such proof upon request, it is grounds for us to disqualify the applicant.
John Foy & Associates is not responsible for any technical problems with the application, website, email or other tools involved in the application process. Likewise, we are not responsible if any such technical problem prevents an application from being submitted, received, or considered in any way.
We will consider all applications submitted on or before the deadline by applicants who meet the eligibility requirements. John Foy & Associates will select a scholarship committee to review applications, and that committee alone shall determine the scholarship winner. All decisions by the scholarship committee are final.
Anyone who meets the following conditions is NOT eligible to apply:
- Employees or children of employees of the John Foy & Associates
- Past recipients of the Survivor of a Car Accident Scholarship
- Applicants who are unable/unwilling to be interviewed by a representative of John Foy & Associates if he/she were to be awarded the scholarship.
- Applicants who submit the same essay for multiple scholarships
Policy of Non-Discrimination
John Foy & Associates is committed to diversity and fairness. Our selection of a winner for this scholarship will not be affected in any way by race, religion, gender, national origin, sexual preference, age, or disability; nor by any other legally protected status. Rather, the scholarship committee shall select a winner based purely on the eligibility criteria and the merits of the applicant’s essay.
Privacy Policy
John Foy & Associates will not sell, share, or publicly distribute the personal information contained in any scholarship application. It is our policy to use this information only for identifying eligible applicants and determining a winner.
However, applicants should be advised that we may publicly announce the winner by name on our website or in other materials, including online, in print, or in other media. We may also publish, reproduce, or publicly distribute the winning essay, or excerpts from that essay, at our sole discretion.
