The loss of a child is always tragic, and sometimes there is little that can be done about it. Just the briefest moment of inattention can end a child’s life. Children do not know the dangers of the world, and can rush into danger without warning.
That’s what happened in an accident in East Macon. A 5-year-old girl was walking across the road with a relative when she suddenly darted out into the street in front of a truck. A witness to the incident said that the girl ran so fast in front of the truck that there was no way they could have stopped or dodged the girl in time.
The young girl was taken to a local hospital, then flown to Atlanta for further treatment before she perished.
Sometimes accidents are just that. Accidents. There is nothing that can be done about them. Part of a personal injury lawyer’s job is to help clients understand their legal options. After the evidence is weighed there may not be a legal case to fight for. But if there is one, then they will fight on your side until you get the justice you deserve.
