Two crashes happened yesterday in Cobb County that caused backups for miles. Both were pretty serious, especially the first one.
The AJC reported on the incidents. In the first one, a tractor-trailer overturned on I-75 near Windy Hill Road in the southbound lanes. One of the gas tanks started leaking, which required cleanup before a fire broke out.
Just as that accident cleared up, a multi-vehicle accident happened in the same area. Injuries were reported. Delays were so bad from the two crashes that it was taking drivers 90 minutes to go from Wade Green to the Perimeter.
For Atlantans, traffic and delays are just par for the course. But when a crash happens, people could always be injured. The next time you’re stuck in a traffic jam, don’t get angry for the delay. It could be someone was just injured or killed.
People who cause crashes need to be held responsible. The damage caused by injury accidents can be life-long and require substantial compensation by the responsible party to fix.
