WMAZ Channel 13 CBS News reported recently that two Baldwin County teens were killed in a car accident on Monday, December 14.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, a young man from the Milledgeville area, seventeen years of age, was driving a 2001 Acura west on GA State Route 22 in Baldwin County, near the intersection of GA SR 22 and Watson Reynolds Road. At the same time, a 2019 Freightliner truck was driving east in the eastbound traffic lanes. For unknown reasons still under investigation, the teen crossed the double yellow lines dividing the directional traffic and crashed head-on into the Freightliner. The accident killed both the driver of the Acura and his passenger, a teen eighteen years of age. The truck driver was unharmed.
Officials from the Georgia State Patrol stated neither lad was wearing a seatbelt. The accident is still under investigation.
