In Atlanta, a man was struck and killed in an incident at Pryor Road and University Avenue. The accident occurred late Friday night, and it has been confirmed by police. A pedestrian was walking across the road, but was not crossing at a crosswalk. He was struck and killed.
The vehicle involved was a tow truck. The driver left the scene of the accident. However, the driver later returned to the scene. It is not known if the driver was arrested at that time or not.
Neither the name of the victim or that of the truck driver have been released. Atlanta Police are speaking to witnesses in the hopes of gathering more details. Once the investigation has been concluded, the police will then speak with the District Attorney to determine what charges, if any, the driver will face.
