When someone gets behind the wheel, there are so many things which can happen. In most cases, everything goes off without a hitch, and the driver and passengers safely end up where they need to be. Sometimes, however, there are complications to that, and that’s where we come in.
This morning, according to reports by Fox 5 Atlanta, an SUV rammed into the side of a DeKalb County elementary school. The vehicle, a Dodge Journey, was close to the drop-off lane when it crashed into the side of the building.
Police are currently investigating what happened to cause the wreck that didn’t appear to cause much damage to the building. There were a few kids and an adult who were possibly injured, but so far there have been no major injuries reported.
One person was taken away from the scene in handcuffs, but it’s not yet been determined what their role was in the accident.
Although there were no major injuries with this wreck, the question of compensation still comes up. Are the people who were involved still entitled to damages even if they were only barely injured? How about the school system who has to pay for the damages done to the side of the building?
