In today’s news in Marietta, GA, fire investigators are trying to figure out the cause of a suspicious fire at an obstetrics and gynecology office. The fire was believed to have started on the third floor of the Governor’s Ridge office complex on Powers Ferry Road, which is frequented by anti-abortion protestors.
The building was evacuated and fire fighters extinguished the flames, however, the third floor did sustain damage. Cobb County fire fighters are still looking into the cause of the fire.
Angela Buckner, an employee, told Channel 2 news reporter, Ross Cavitt, “We have patients here. They’re under anesthesia. This could have been life-threatening.”
Fortunately, this wasn’t a life-threatening ordeal. However, we know the outcome could’ve been different. Burn injuries can be devastating to the victims resulting in lifestyle changes as well as growing medical bills.
