A double bus crash involving fire scared dozens of school children in a crash on Roswell Road just outside of Atlanta. 11 Alive covered the incident.
According to the police report, a blue car sideswiped one bus, then crashed into the rear end of a school bus. The car caught fire and scorched the rear of the school bus. Thankfully, the bus driver was able to evacuate all of the children to safety.
Many of the children had minor injuries. In all, 18 children were taken to the hospital for evaluation. The remaining children were taken by another bus to school or picked up by parents.
The driver of the car was also taken to the hospital for treatment.
This situation could have been much worse. It’s fortunate that the injuries were so minor. We hope that everyone involved in this crash fully recovers and that the driver of the car learns their lesson.
