Another school bus crash has happened, this time in Cobb County. But the way this crash happened seems very unusual.
A special education bus was driving along Austell Road on Tuesday for the morning route. It was headed to Sanders Elementary. A witness described the scene by saying the rear wheel of the bus somehow ended up in the front seat of a car behind it. Investigators are unclear exactly how that happened, but you can see video of the scene if you follow the link above.
The driver of the car, who was injured but alert, had to be cut out of the vehicle. None of the students on the bus or the two adults inside were injured. The road was shut down and it took several hours to clear the scene.
Will the driver of the other car be able to get compensation? That all depends on the insurance companies and the circumstances in the case. We don’t know how the rear wheel of the bus ended up crushing the roof of a car that badly. One thing is certain, it will take the help of investigators to find out what happened, and the strength of lawyers to argue for compensation in light of the facts.
