We’ve helped many people with injury cases, but often those injuries happen due to an accident. People aren’t deliberately trying to hurt our clients. People who deliberately hurt others end up in the criminal system. Yet that doesn’t mean that civil charges cannot be filed.
Whoever did the actions in today’s story probably thought it was a prank, but it was no joke to the drivers. In the middle of the night, drivers along I-20 near MLK Jr. were surprised by rocks that were thrown at their vehicles. Multiple cars suffered damage ranging from smashed windshields to gouged paint. The drivers were able to get off the road to a nearby gas station and call police. Thankfully, no one was injured by the rock attack. Police are investigating, and hopefully they can catch whoever is responsible before they strike again.
If whoever did this attack is caught, they will certainly face criminal charges, but all of those drivers will be able to file civil charges too for the cost of car repairs if insurance doesn’t cover the damages. A personal injury case can also involve property damage too. If you have been injured and you live in Atlanta, contact John Foy & Associates for a free consultation. We’ve helped many people get the compensation they deserve from people who injured them. Don’t wait until it is too late.
