Fox Channel 5 Atlanta News reported recently on a tragic accident involving a pedestrian and a motor vehicle that led to the injury of the pedestrian involved on the afternoon of Tuesday, February 2.
According to officials from the Smyrna Police Department, the incident took place between 3:30 p.m. and 3:35 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Monday, February 2, 2021 near Campbell Middle School, a school on Campbell Road near Howell Drive and Atlanta Road and caused a long closure of Campbell Road while the accident was cleaned up and investigated. A pedestrian who has not been identified was crossing a crosswalk when a two-vehicle accident occurred. The pedestrian was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries, the extent of which were not released to the press.
The crash is being investigated by the Smyrna Police Department’s Selected Traffic Enforcement Unit. No other information was released about the identities of those involved.
