It’s back to school for Fulton, DeKalb, Cobb, and seven other north Georgia county students.
As we begin the new school year, we must be aware of all the students. For instance, Fulton County has a newly-opened high school in Milton and will be home to over 1,100 students on campus.
Many students walk to and from school. Safety should be a concern for all. As part of that safety, Cobb county has installed cameras on more than 100 school buses. The cameras serve as a mechanism for catching drivers who pass the bus while loading and unloading students. Drivers caught on camera could be fined $300.
As statistics show, pedestrian fatality is at a rise. If we all work together to control our speed, reduce cell phone usage, and be more aware of the road, we can avoid a possible car accident.
