Last week, we talked about a deadly car crash in Gwinnett that didn’t have much information. Now, new details on that crash from WSB show just how deadly it was.
The driver, who was at Summerville Parkway and Lawrenceville Highway, swerved to the left for unknown reasons. It was a violent swerve, creating what police call a critical speed yaw. When that starts to happen the car becomes very difficult to control.
Whatever the reason, it threw the car across three lanes of traffic. It also put it in front of oncoming vehicles and lead to the huge dent in the side of the slain driver’s car. The impact was so hard that it pushed the car back across Lawrenceville Highway.
The second car’s driver had to go to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the car who swerved in the first place died at the scene.
There could be any number of reasons why he swerved so hard, but no matter what the reason it was a reckless act. Now, he’s lost his life and caused another person serious injury.
