13 WMAZ reports on a tragic accident in which a female pedestrian was hit and killed by a pickup truck in the middle Georgia city of Warner Robins Monday night.
According to representatives of the Houston County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to Giles Road near US Route 41 around 8:15 p.m. on Monday. A 37-year-old woman had been chasing her dog across the road after they got loose and was hit by a pickup truck. She was transported to a local hospital but was pronounced dead due to her injuries from the wreck. The Houston County Coroner stated she was visiting family from out of state.
In an update about a previous vehicular incident, 13 WMAZ also reported that a Macon man was charged with vehicular homicide after an accident earlier in August on Arkwright Road.
On August 8, the man lost control of his vehicle and ran off the road and down an embankment, crashing into a stopped train. His passenger was ejected from the truck and pronounced dead at the scene. He was released on a $20,000 bond Monday after being arrested and charged.
