The Alpharetta/Roswell Forsyth Johns Creek Milton Herald reported over the weekend on a driver suspected of a hit-and-run accident causing a scuffle with firefighters and police responding to the crash scene.
A 28-year-old Atlanta man allegedly managed to, in quick succession, crash a car, attempt to carjack two other vehicles, and then get into fisticuffs with both firefighters and police as they arrived at the scene of the accident.
The suspect’s 2016 Honda Civic was reportedly involved in an accident involving several vehicles that took place on Old Alabama Road in the Newton Park area. Eyewitnesses reported that following the wreck, the suspect crossed the road, attempted to force entry into another vehicle, and then smashed the window. After the arrival of crews from a nearby fire station, the suspect attempted to flee into the park, then ran back toward the crash scene, attempted to steal an SUV that was also involved in the wreck, and scuffled with firefighters that were eventually able to pin him down. However, once the police arrived, the man started yet another fight. He was taken to the North Fulton Hospital and is now booked into the Fulton County jail.
