A man in Cobb County Georgia was making a simple trip to the post office and found himself being robbed and then it turned into a possibly life threatening situation. The man was inside the Austell main post office on Veterans Memorial Highway counting the cash he had on him when he was robbed by the person behind him in line. The robber then ran out the front door and the victim chased after him trying to get his money back. He chased the man to his car and instead of getting his money back he got slammed by the car door and ran over. The victim was taken to Atlanta Medical Center with broken bones, but no life threatening injuries fortunately. Police are working on leads and trying to get surveillance video of the violent theft. They are searching for the man who took off toward Mableton. The police are describing the assailant as late teens to early 20s, black male with short hair. He was driving a silver or gray four door, smaller type vehicle. Fortunately, the police will be able to pull the video surveillance from inside the post office to identify the man. Accidents can be difficult for victims as they can result in many financial hardships, especially in the above mentioned case. When injuries are the result of a car accident or deliberate act of violence, victims should not be responsible for the medical bills that are accrued. The best way to ensure that victims get their losses returned to them in a settlement is to hire a talented law firm with experienced lawyers, like John Foy & Associates Attorneys at Law.
