Georgia has traffic laws governing when it is permissible to pass another vehicle and how a driver should initiate the pass. One of the primary laws states you should always pass to the left of the slower vehicle. Do not return to the right lane until you can see the vehicle you’ve passed in your rearview mirror. Of course, it is permissible to pass on the right when there is a vehicle making a left turn. You can also pass on the right on a multi-lane highway which has two or more lanes of traffic headed in the same direction.
