Fox 24 ABC 16 WGXA News reports on a hit-and-run collision that left a 59-year-old woman in critical condition last Monday.
Deputies from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office report that the accident happened around 8:16 p.m. last Monday evening on Lynmore Avenue at the intersection with DeSoto Drive in Macon. A 59-year-old woman was riding a moped west on Lynmore Avenue when a car driving east on Lynmore struck her and failed to stop after the accident. Deputies report that the suspect car that hit her is a red Toyota with damage to the front and possibly the driver’s side.
The victim was taken to the Navicent Health Medical Center and was listed in critical condition with severe injuries sustained during the collision.
The accident remains under investigation by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office and investigators ask that anyone with information on the accident of the possible location of the vehicle suspected to have been used in the accident contact the Bibb County Sheriff at (478) 751-7500
