Truckers haul all sorts of things along America’s roadways. When an accident happens with a trucker, what they’re carrying can play a big role in how it has to be handled. A recent crash that happened on I-85 had to bring in animal control.
Fox 5 Atlanta reported on an injury crash that involved a trucker that was hauling donkeys. The accident happened near Newnan. A pickup truck tried to change lanes and hit the rear of the trailer. By the time the accident came to a stop, a third vehicle had gotten involved and the pickup truck was wedged underneath the trailer. Three people in total were injured.
The donkeys were uninjured in the crash and were taken into custody by animal control. The people in the third vehicle and in the truck were uninjured.
While the contents of a truck may make for an interesting news story, it’s still an injury case for the people involved. The police will need to investigate and find out just who was responsible for the crash and the insurance companies will have to decide who and what needs compensation.
