FOX Channel 24 ABC Channel 16 WGXA News reported that a hit-and-run accident Sunday on I-75 near the Hartley Bridge Road exit delayed traffic and caused an overturned car. Fortunately, the accident resulted in only minor injuries.
The incident occurred on the afternoon of Sunday, November 8 around 4:15 p.m. in the southbound lanes of I-75 just south of the I-75/I-475 junction on the south side of Macon. A
small, tan-colored SUV was northbound on I-75 when another vehicle rear-ended the sport-utility vehicle on the right side of the car. This knocked the small SUV over the center retainer wall in the middle of the highway and into the southbound traffic lanes.
The driver of the small SUV was taken to The Medical Center, Navicent Health, and is currently listed in stable condition. The other vehicle that was involved did not stop, continuing north on I-75.
