New details have come to light in an accident that occurred mid-April. In the accident, a man suspected of being under the influence of drugs jumped a curb and hit 3 boys standing on a street corner. While two of the youths survived with serious injuries, one of the boys lost his life as a result of the accident.
Ryan Lisabeth, the driver accused in the fatal accident, is facing serious charges, including murder. In addition to this charge, it is also alleged that Lisabeth injected heroin just 14 minutes before the crash occurred.
Lisabeth’s criminal records show that he is a repeat offender. This caught the attention of Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard. He plans to address community concerns about how Lisabeth was able to commit these new crimes.
During Lisabeth’s troubled history in Fulton County, the judges have mandated that he get drug treatment. During Lisabeth’s most recent court appearance in connection with the accident, it was learned that Lisabeth was living at a treatment facility at the time of the accident.
Howard stated that it might be time to see repeat offenders get time behind bars.
When told that Lisabeth had injected heroin just before the accident, the father of Isaiah Ward, 9, said that he would be in court if it went to trial. Isaiah Ward is the victim who lost his life as a result of the accident. In a previous interview, Ward’s father stated that he hoped Lisabeth got the death penalty.
