In Indiana last Wednesday, four teenagers from the same town tragically lost their lives in an accident. All of the teens were from the Indianapolis suburb of Brownsburg.
The horrific accident occurred when the car carrying the teens veered into oncoming traffic, colliding with a minivan. The site of the accident was on Indiana 37 near Waverly.
Four of the teens were killed and five others, including another teen in the car and a family of four in the minivan were taken to the hospital.
Police released the names of those who lost their lives in the accident. Mathew Howard Chambers, 17; Lucas Edwin Kenworthy, 18; Noah James Tex, 17; and Riley Davis Hurst, 17. The teenagers attended Brownsburg High School and Harris Academy. School officials stated they would have counselors available for students.
It is very important to note that none of those who lost their lives in the car had been wearing seat belts. Those who survived had been wearing their seat belts.
The accident shut down the section on Indiana 37 where it occurred, which is a rural area outside Indianapolis.
