According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 2013 data shows Interstate 285 among America’s most dangerous freeways. In 2013, Atlanta’s own I-285 had the second highest number of fatal wrecks – 26. When calculated in a per-every-ten-mile equation, I-285 boasts 3.5 fatal crashes every 10 miles in 2013. The trend might not be changing.
