An accident can affect the people involved in many ways. For some, there are injuries to contend with, both minor and severe. For others, loss of life can come with an accident and this can affect many.
Just before New Year’s Eve last week in Miami, Florida, a wrong way collision claimed the lives of five people.
The accident occurred around 1 am on Wednesday, December 30th in an express lane of I-95 northbound.
Many details of the accident are still unclear at this time. A Florida State Trooper named Joe Sanchez told local media outlets that a woman was traveling southbound in the express lane in a pickup truck. She first sideswiped one vehicle, then crashed head-on into a sedan.
All four adults in the sedan as well as the woman driving the pickup truck died at the scene. Two people also involved in an accident were taken to the hospital. Their immediate condition just after the accident was unknown.
The accident did cause Interstate 95 to be shut down for a time while authorities investigated the accident.
