Omerta Labs in Marietta, GA is currently involved in a lawsuit due to the death of a teenager who died after smoking “spice” also known as synthetic marijuana.
A copy of the lawsuit was obtained from an investigative reporter of Channel 2 news. The lawsuit claimed the owners and workers of Omerta Labs were responsible for producing the product that killed the teenage boy.
The boy’s father issued a statement back in March stating, “If you don’t think it could happen to you, then all you need to do is listen to us.” In the following weeks, a law known as “Chase’s Law” was passed banning known chemical forms of synthetic pot.
Unfortunately, at the time of the boy’s death, the chemical found in the pot was legal.
