In Columbia County, Georgia, an accident occurred on January 25th, 2016 in the westbound lanes of Interstate 20 between the Thompson and Harlem exists. All lanes of the interstate were closed as authorities cleaned up and investigated the crash.
According to deputies, a black Toyota Scion collided with several trees and rolled multiple times after the driver lost control of the vehicle. The accident occurred at around 3:05 pm last Monday.
According to reports, after the crash, a woman identified as Issabella Barber, 22, was seen covered in blood as she tried to flag down passing motorists seeking assistance. Another passenger in the vehicle, identified as 24-year-old Francisco Camarillo-Lopez, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
Barber was taken to the hospital for a head injury. She was kept for several days for observation and treatment before being discharged yesterday.
There were no reports as to what may have caused the crash.
