The accident took place at Atlanta Highway and Oldfield drive sometime before 4:15 pm on Monday, Febrary 8th, 2016.
The Montgomery Police Department reports that 3 cars, a 2002 Toyota Camry, a 2012 Jeep Compass, and a 2014 Mazda Grand all collided. By 4:15 pm, police and medics were on the scene.
Lytle Allen, 77, was driving the Toyota. Of all the passengers involved, he was the only one to suffer injuries. Though his injuries were initially deemed to be non-life-threatening, Allen later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Investigators are still working to determine the exact cause of the crash.
