Noted country music star and Atlanta native Blanco Brown was reportedly in a serious car accident in Atlanta last week that sent him to a local hospital with ‘significant injuries’, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The 35-year-old country music sensation, known for songs that showcase his signature country/trap fusion sound such as ‘Just The Way’ and ‘The Git Up’, was in a severe head-on collision near his home in his native metro Atlanta area that sent him to an undisclosed local hospital for a twelve-hour surgery. He is currently in the Intensive Care Unit and recovering, according to representatives of his label, BBR Music Group. He will reportedly need additional surgeries to reach a full recovery.
The former hip-hop producer rose to prominence as a hip-hop producer, working with Chris Brown, Pitbull, and other stars before embarking on a solo music performance career that has sparked a viral dance trend and led to a Grammy nomination and the artist going platinum with his first album.
