A tragic drunk driving accident in Texas has affected a Cobb County family and members of the student body of South Cobb High School. A disabled student died in the crash and several others were injured.
The student was visiting relatives in Mexico and was returning back to Atlanta, driving down I-35. But a wrong-way driver who had been on the interstate for at least 2 miles crashed into the van he was driving along with four other vehicles. 10 people were taken to local hospitals for injuries, including several members of the young man’s family.
The wrong-way driver is now being held in jail and was charged with many crimes related to the incident. The family has set up a GoFundMe page to help defray funeral expenses. We hope that the family can also get compensation from insurance and other sources to help cover the costs of this tragic accident.
