When you are injured as a result of someone else’s negligence, it can be hard to know where to turn for help. Sometimes, getting treatment for your injuries can cause mounting costs, lost time from work, and frustration. It is important that you are aware of your legal rights when your injuries are the fault of another person.
A mid-October crash that critically injured three children is still under investigation, but new details are emerging. The crash took place on Windy Hill Road in Smyrna when a minivan collided with a Cobb Country Transit bus. No one has been charged in the accident as of yet.
A report the police department released a few days after the crash has the bus driver and witnesses all stating that the driver of the van failed to yield to the bus. The bus struck the minivan on the driver’s side.
There were a total of three children in the van, aged between 2 and 7 years old. One of the children was ejected from the left passenger side window and impacted the ground face first. All three children were taken to a local children’s hospital where they remain in critical condition. Two adults in the van and two passengers on the bus were also transported to the hospital. Their condition is unknown.
