CMT.com reported an update on Blanco Brown, a renowned country music artist that was recently in a tragic car accident in his native Atlanta.
The innovative country artist, known for hit songs Just The Way and The Git Up, was involved on Monday, August 31 in a horrifying head-on collision near his home in Atlanta. According to a release from BBR Music Group, his music label, he was transported to a local hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU), where he underwent several surgeries, including at least one that lasted over twelve hours.
On Monday, Sept. 14th, BBR Music Group shared that Mr. Brown had been moved out of the ICU and was not expected to need additional surgeries en route to a full recovery. The official statement informed the public that “Brown has since relocated out of the ICU, following an additional 12-hour plus surgery and is continuing his recovery in the hospital. His team of doctors do not anticipate Brown requiring any additional surgeries and expect him to make a full recovery. Blanco, his family, and his friends wish to express that they have been humbled and deeply touched by the outpouring of love from all over the world. They would like to thank everyone for their support and ask for continued prayers for Blanco during this time.”
