Channel 46 CBS News reported on a motor vehicle accident in southwest Atlanta last Thursday that left a pedestrian trapped under debris.
The incident occurred around 2:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon off Red Wine Road in Atlanta. Atlanta Police Department units were dispatched to an office complex in response to reports of an accident. A driver had crashed her vehicle into a one-story office building. Police officers were able to extract the driver safely from her vehicle and she was uninjured, but a pedestrian was trapped by debris from the crash.
Responding emergency workers were able to free the pedestrian who only suffered minor leg injuries in the accident, according to spokespeople from the Atlanta Police Department. Officers are investigating the accident.
WMAZ CBS Channel 13 News reported on a deadly accident Thursday in Dodge County in which a 58-year-old local woman was killed. She was driving north on Middle Ground Church Road around 7:00 a.m., approaching the intersection with State Route 126, and she failed to yield at the intersection. An eastbound tractor-trailer hit her vehicle and overturned, causing fatal injuries.
