Pressure continues to mount against Johnson & Johnson and their pelvic mesh products. Another jury has ruled in favor of the plaintiff for millions of dollars according to Reuters.
In Philadelphia, a state court awarded a woman $2.16 million for the damage she has suffered after a pelvic mesh implantation. At least 54,800 similar cases are in courts for the same issue.
Pelvic meshes are supposed to aid muscles in regrowing back together by providing a framework. Over time, so the theory goes, they dissolve in the body and only leave strong muscle behind. But meshes aren’t breaking down or staying in place properly and causing immense pain and other side effects. The effects can completely disable a person.
These products are sold all over the world and women everywhere are reporting about the bad side effects. More important, the women are winning lawsuits. If you’ve received a pelvic mesh implant and have experienced any of the side effects on this page, we urge you to contact a personal injury lawyer with experience in product liability.
