Multiple injuries are not uncommon in car accidents. Throw in possible alcohol use in the mix and the chances are much higher. A group of women had a nasty run-in with an alleged drunk driver on the way to a women’s conference.
Seventeen members of the Love & Hugs Christian Tabernacle were riding in a van on the way to the conference. A Lincoln Town Car traveling on Ga. 184 crossed the center line and struck the van head-on. 15 people in the van were taken to the hospital for treatment. The driver of the Lincoln was also taken to the hospital. Two lucky people in the van escaped injury. The police believe that the driver may have been intoxicated at the time of the crash, but the story does not indicate whether that charge has been filed or not.
