This September, John Foy & Associates proudly welcomes student workers Francisco, Brisa, Diana and Danae to our firm for the 2018-19 school year. Their hires are our first venture with Cristo Rey Atlanta Jesuit High School.
Cristo Rey is an exceptional college prep parochial high school, located in downtown Atlanta. All of its students are required to work five days every four weeks; four students form a team that works one full-time job. Each corporate partner pays a fee for the team and that money is applied directly to a student’s tuition fee. The fee pays for a level of education few can afford.
It’s heartening to see educators support their students the way Cristo Rey does. Cristo Rey started in 2014 with 160 students and has grown to 540 students; all are expected to work with a corporate partner. The school is part of the Cristo Rey Network™ that boasts great success with 100 percent of its 2016 graduating class being accepted into a two- or four-year institution.
John Foy & Associates joined in the fun for the high school’s Fifth Annual Draft Day, Aug. 17. We were told to “bring swag” to give to our “corporate draftees”. To call the day “high-energy” would be an understatement, with all the cheer to go around. We look forward to getting our four students getting to know our more than 130-member staff.
The Jesuit education motto, “A man and woman for others” is truly a message that John Foy & Associates can support. We are one of Atlanta’s most established personal injury law firms and we are dedicated to making sure anyone injured by someone else’s negligence is protected and compensated fairly. We take our role as a good neighbor seriously, with lots of community partnerships and support, including a scholarship for those affected by leukemia.
