Myia Wood graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Spanish. While there, she served on the All University Judicial Board (AUJB), a panel of students who hear cases and determine outcomes including sanctions, of alleged violations of the code of student conduct.
In 2007, she graduated from Texas Southern University's Thurgood Marshall School of Law. Thereafter, she was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in December 2007. Since 2007, she has helped over 1000 claimants with their pursuit of Social Security Disability benefits. She has devoted her legal practice to advocating for individuals with disabilities.
Myia is currently a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants' Representatives (NOSSCR) and the State Bar of Georgia.
